The O.K.Ingram Ship in La Mesa California has a long history of providing programs and services to veterans and their families residing in La Mesa and the City of San Diego. Your membership provides for a united voice when defending our earned benefits and rallying for change, and helps to fund the VFW Counselors found within the VA that veterans use for processing their claims. Our Ship's Service Officer duties and social activities are conducted within the La Mesa American Legion facility, affectionately called the La Mesa Veterans Club. Effective 21 August 2015, The Ladies Auxiliary becomes the Auxiliary that is open to male and female members (see separate Tab). The American Legion hall is available for birthdays, anniversaries, promotions and other social club events and the suggested donation rates can be found by calling the Manager at (619) 469-6064.

The Ship provides regular food menu offerings such as Taco Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, dinner on Wednesdays and Fridays starting promptly at 6:00 p.m., lunch on Saturdays starting 11:00 p.m., and other special fund-raising food events as advertised. All of the food offerings are prepared by volunteers from each of our organizations residing in the facility and are priced below what is found at restaurants and the quality is outstanding. Children are most welcome.

The donations button provides funds for the facility in which we reside, thereby allowing for our funds to be directly used for veterans issues as explained within this website. All FACILITY funds accumulate into one common account.

Information on how to join the VFW, Auxiliary, AMVETS and/or American Legion is located in the Membership Links. Although we have moved to the American Legion Post 282 at 8118 University Ave, La Mesa, our activities (some combined with the other veterans organizations in the same facility affectionately called the La Mesa Veterans Club) continue. Please support us and your community. The “La Mesa Veterans Club” The “Veterans Center” provides regular food menu offerings such as Taco Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Meals on Wednesday and Friday nights, lunches on Saturdays, and other special fund-raising food events as advertised.
