VFW 1774 Membership Petition for The Mens Auxiliary

mens auxiliary VFW La Mesa In accordance with the by-laws established by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and by popular requests made to the Officers of the VFW Ship 1774 by prospective eligible Men. This petition is hereby established and circulated for your information. This petition must receive at least 20 signatures of prospective eligible Men to qualify for our National Headquarters to send membership forms. In order for this VFW 1774 to be eligible for this Order, there must be 30 eligible candidates and a 2/3 vote taken by the membership of this VFW 1774 and District One approval.

Eligibility Requirements

Husbands, Widowers, Fathers, Grandfathers, Sons, Grandsons, Brothers, and Half Brothers of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the VFW. Persons eligible for membership in the VFW shall not be eligible for the membership in the Mens Auxiliary.

If you meet these eligibility requirements, please come by the ship and sign the petition. While waiting for the sign-in sheet to fill, try finding your relatives Military Discharge Documents. If you can't find these documents, don't give up. We will help!

Note: On October 9, 2005, the National Council of Administration approved an amendment to Section 101 of the VFW Manual of Procedure to include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (ACM), the Iraq Campaign Medal (ICM), the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border (AFESR w/GB), the Combat Action Badge (CAB), and the SSBN Nuclear Deterrent Patrol Breast Insignia.
