The Ship provides regular weekday food offerings normally advertised in our calendar starting promptly at 5:30 p.m., Saturday lunch, Sunday Funday, and other special food events as may be advertised or provided by the volunteer bartender for a nominal donation. The food offerings are prepared by volunteers from each of our organizations residing in the facility and are priced much less than commercial restaurants. The quality is outstanding. Children are most welcome.

The O.K.Ingram Ship in La Mesa California has a long history of providing programs and services to veterans and their families residing in La Mesa and the City of San Diego. Your membership provides for a united voice when defending our earned benefits and rallying for change, and helps to fund the VFW Counselors found within the VA that veterans use for processing their claims. Our Ship's Service Officer duties and social activities are conducted within the La Mesa American Legion facility, affectionately called the La Mesa Veterans Club. Effective 21 August 2015, The Auxiliary is open to male and female members (see separate Tab). The American Legion hall is available for birthdays, anniversaries, promotions and other social club events and the suggested donation rates can be found by calling the Manager at (619) 469-6064.

veterans organizations and your community by your donations and active

NOTE that as of 1 Jan 2016, active duty military and their guests as well as members of ANY OTHER Veterans organization such as the Navy League, Air Force Sergeants Association, Disabled American Veterans, Legion of Honor, etc., can be served alcohol in any Veterans Club (per recently adopted California law) without signing a guest register or having someone escort you. You do not need to be a member of the VFW, American Legion, etc., to visit our facility. Your officially joining us, regardless of organization, would be appreciated, however, since funds earned helps fulfill our mission to the community and the veterans of La Mesa.
